Our Club

About Us
Established in 1976, the Laverton Swimming Club has been synonymous with swimming in Melbourne`s West. A community based competitive swimming club promoting the development of swimmers of all levels, gender, and abilities from Development through to National Team selection.
As we work with our swimmers in developing their athletic skills, we also emphasise the importance of a positive club culture built around integrity, respect, dedication, and self discepline. Our aim is to provide a positive learning environment to assist our athletes in reaching their full potential.
The coaching staff prescribe a balanced training program based off world leading practices and are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to create growth and improvement in our athletes. Another key quality is the ability of the coaches to adjust training needs to accommodate academic requirements.
Our club is run by a Committee of volunteers, comprising both parents and young adults who have come through our swimming programs. We are proud of their initiatives that emphasize the importance of community work and support, and recognize the valuable pathway role that volunteering plays in people’s lives and our communities.
